As an LTI (lLocal Training Initiative) we are a second provider to FÁS and offer training in computer literacy as well as providing participants with an opportunity to engage in history/heritage research and production.

To date we have researched and published a two volume history of Loughrea and district, written and produced a number of dramas, researched and launched a book of folklore in Irish with an accompanying CD, and researched and launched a DVD on an aspect of the artistic elements in our local cathedral.

Each course lasts for a maximum of eleven months. Learners must have a social welfare entitlement  prior to obtaining a place on the course and must be registered with FÁS.   Participants receive a training allowance equivalent to their existing social welfare entitlement and are afforded an opportunity to take FETAC accredited exams at levels 4 and 5 of the National Framework of Qualifications.

Please contact your local FÁS office for details on how to access LTI training.  Further details on course content may be obtained directly from the course provider at the contact details listed.
