The community based family support service is based at Ballina Family Resource Centre. It provides a family support service to parents and their children aged 0-17yrs in their local community.
Parents and children can access regular support around any issues that may be causing stress in the family home. All families can experience stress resulting in poor relationships, conflict, out of control behaviour, difficult parenting and distress in the family home.
Support is provided in a strictly confidential manner in your family home or at the family support office.
We also teach Common Sense Parenting skills including;
• encouraging positive behaviour,
• developing techniques for using effective discipline,
• using consequences to change behaviour,
• preventing problems, and
• correcting problem behaviour.
It is a free, non judgemental and non-denominational service.
To access the service contact the local Family Support Project Worker; Rione Kilcullen @ 087-213 4078 / 096-75573
