Roscommon Sports Partnership

Lanesboro Street, Roscommon, Co. Roscommon, F42 NA72.

The Local Sports Partnership Initiative was developed by Sport Ireland in order to create a national structure to co-ordinate and promote the development of sport and physical activity at local level. The initiative was created following widespread consultation with other agencies and organisations with an interest in the development of sport.

The Local Sports Partnerships have also been supported by the Social Partners through commitments in the Programme for Prosperity and Fairness. The Roscommon Sports Partnership was one of the first Sports Partnership with it’s establishment in 2002.
